on another note, i finished watching catherine breillat's anatomie de l'enfer. i don't know what to make of it. it is supposed to be a film on female sexuality - and particularly a woman's genital and the society's view of it - but i find myself struggling to grasp the real meaning of the movie. critics panned the movie upon its release, and to be honest, that is the main reason i've been waiting for four years to get m hands on a copy to watch it - it appeals to my counter-culture side - but i find myself rather disappointed. this movie, though more graphic and explicit in its sexuality, can't hold a candle to a ma soeur, another movie by catheirne breillat, which i thoroughly enjoy. but rocco siffredi was rather scrumptious to look at. enough said.
